Testimonials

Francesca,

I just wanted to thank you for the hard work you put into teaching the children and the resulting wonderful performance. I think having a semester-end performance is a tremendous asset to your program and I know it meant a lot to K. We are planning on sharing the DVD many times this holiday season!

Thanks again,

T & K.  O.

Francesca: I found your dance class by searching online right after we moved here from Seattle.  I spoke with you about my daughter’s autism and how that might create other dynamics for you but that she would really  enjoy your class if you had a good fit for her.  I have peaked in a few times when I have picked her up but had not seen a full dance rehearsal.  Much to my delight and that of my in-laws who came from New York to watch the performance we were truly overcome with how well Jordan did and her gracefulness truly moved us.  You are an amazing teacher.  I realize this is your passion but to teach this class to children and be able to do what you do takes a lot of effort which is not always rewarded when parents are late (I take responsibility as well) or they don’t show up for class at all.  This was Jordan’s first time to have the ability to take a class that offered more freedom and less technical structure where she could truly excel.  Thank you.  We look forward to continuing and wish you all the best.

My son Andres was a few months shy of his third birthday when he started the boys movement class with Felix.  We had never done a "drop off" class so I was hesitant at first and so was Andres.  It didn't take long, however to get into the swing of things; Francesca and Felix knew just how to draw him in with their wonderful story telling and as teachers they are very patient, caring and engaging.  All semester we looked forward to our Tuesday dance class.  I knew the boys were working on a performance for the recital but I honestly wasn't sure if my son would be able to follow on cue since he's so young.  We were honestly blown away by him and all of the other dancers.  We were so proud seeing him perform two full routines and the opening and closing dance with all of the dancers.  We're sad the semester is over but can't wait to start the summer session.

I have to thank you so much again for being such a wonderful dance teacher. Rose absolutely loves dance class, and said that Friday night was so much fun, and "the best night ever!" We were so impressed with all that she has learned in such a short period of time. She has gained both confidence and grace. Friday night's peformance was truly beautiful. Thanks so much again for everything.

Congratulations on putting together such a wonderful show!   Having attended many children's performances as both a student and a teacher, I have to say it was one of the most professional, organized and enjoyable children's shows I've attended.   The root of this, I think, was the superbly adapted choreography that was classical, elegant, and historical -- while still being very accessible and -- most importantly -- visibly enjoyable for the children to perform.    The way you were able to emphasize the simplicity and grace of Duncan's movements while not compromising the rigor and seriousness of the form was truly to be commended.   Also, seeing girls of all shapes and sizes being so engaged with the beauty of their bodies was a joy to behold!  The girls worked well together, having clearly been taught well to do so.

Complimenti, Francesca!
